AMAX

meduci PRO1k and AMX2000 world tuners enjoy wide audio bandwidth, up to 15kHz. This is beneficial for demonstrating all of the high fidelity sound from your own personal AM stereo transmitter. PRO1k is the only AM tuner on the market today to offer such wideband audio frequency response!

This tuner now offers many AMAX Stereo * benefits, including the following features:

  • Ultra High Fidelity Wideband Audio Frequency Response -- 20 Hz to 15kHz (better audio frequency response than many FM stereo receivers and tuners!) -- this tuner matches or exceeds FM broadcast sound quality.

  • Latest integrated circuit decoder technology available for C-QUAM stereo tuners, to provide optimum AM stereo performance.

  • Four IF tuned bandpass circuits provide optimum selectivity.

  • Full wave balanced envelope detector achieves low distortion audio.

  • Precision noise immune pilot tone "Siqnal Quality" detector virtually eliminates "falsing" stereo identification in the field.

  • Class-A biased audio output amplifiers do not colorize the sound.

  • Low Total Harmonic Distortion.

  • Rear-mounted RCA "phono-style" antenna input jack connects to user supplied external indoor tunable loop antenna.

  • Extended Broadcast Band Frequency Agile Tuning Range from 530 to 1,700 kHz. -- Unlike other tuners that are deaf in the expanded AM band, this new gem is quite sensitive.

    * This tuner does NOT offer audio notch filters, NRSC-1 audio de-emphasis circuitry, wide / narrow audio bandwidth selection, auto stereo / forced mono switch, nor RF noise blanker. However, automatic stereo blend to monaural occurs under adverse input signal conditions, which eliminates the need for stereo / mono switch. Special AM adaptive bandwidth circuit eliminates the need for wide / narrow audio bandwidth switch.
